KY860 is a high-performance ceramic fiber micro-intumescent mat developed by KY-Mat in 2014, achieving OEM supply with mainstream Chinese commercial vehicle after-treatment systems. It utilizes engineered-grade RCF (refractory ceramic fiber) as the structural backbone, ~25% vermiculite as the expandable component, and ~6% organic binder for green strength.
Operating temperature: Ambient to 750°C
Holding Force Characteristics:
Below 290°C: Functions as non-intumescent mat; fiber elasticity provides primary holding force
Above 290°C: Vermiculite expansion generates supplemental supporting force
Widely used in commercial vehicles including light-duty diesel, heavy-duty diesel, and non-road mobile machinery after-treatment systems. Accommodates both standard-wall and thin-wall substrates, compatible with hard stuffing, soft stuffing, and GBD-Control canning processes.
Suitable for: DOC/DPF/SCR/POC with standard canning gaps of 3.5–6.5 mm
